– Brad Golden, a local artist and experienced prop designer, has crafted immersive displays for the Winchester Mystery House’s annual Halloween tours, which opened on Sept. 13 and run through Halloween weekend. Known for his work as chief prop builder on the creative team at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, Golden has spent five years helping to design scenes that evoke the mysterious ambiance of the historic house.
Golden’s work process begins with preliminary sketches that he refines into 3D digital designs. Using advanced rendering techniques, he creates realistic previews for client approval, enabling detailed visualizations before production. Once designs are finalized, Golden uses the 3D files to develop precise measurements and material lists, ensuring each piece’s accuracy and craftsmanship.

His work, blending artistry and technical skill, contributes to the house’s immersive experiences, engaging visitors with the eerie atmosphere and rich history of the site.
Golden recently expanded his talents by launching Stencil Masters, a professional stenciling service offering custom decorative solutions for furniture, walls, and floors. Stencil Masters uses high-quality materials and detailed techniques to transform surfaces into distinctive design elements. For more information, visit StencilMasters.art.
