Smile-N-Style brings care to homebound and school settings
– Central Coast residents now have access to a new kind of dental care experience with the launch of Sandra Dee Karrer’s independent dental hygiene practice: Smile-N-Style. As a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP), Karrer is bringing high-quality, personalized dental hygiene services directly to the community in a comfortable, private setting.
A proud Central Coast resident since 2003, Karrer began her career in dental care in the Central San Joaquin Valley, where she grew up. After earning her Registered Dental Assisting license, she continued her education and graduated Valedictorian from Sacramento City College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2000, also receiving the prestigious Golden Scaler Award and Leadership Award.
With over two decades of hands-on experience in a variety of dental practices, Karrer has always been passionate about delivering compassionate and thorough care. In October 2024, she earned her RDHAP credential, allowing her to operate independently outside of traditional dental office settings.
Her Paso Robles-based practice is focused on providing preventative services such as oral health assessments, gentle cleanings, fluoride and non-fluoride treatments, root planing, and oral cancer screenings. Designed for comfort and privacy, Karrer’s services are ideal for homebound patients, school-based settings, or anyone seeking a more personal, one-on-one dental care experience.
“I’m excited to offer a different kind of dental hygiene care—one that prioritizes individual attention and a stress-free environment,” says Karrer. “My goal is to make quality oral health accessible, personalized, and comfortable for everyone I serve.”
