New mystery novel set in Paso Robles debuts next month
– Paso Robles-based publisher Keyes Canyon Press announced the upcoming release of Olive Groves & Alibis, a novel by L. G. Reed, on May 1. The book will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, other online retailers, and by order through local bookstores nationwide.
The story follows Rose MacGillivray, whose new life in Paso Robles is disrupted when she becomes involved in a series of events connected to a local art gallery. As she investigates, the narrative introduces multiple motives, including affairs, revenge, and betrayals.
According to the publisher, the novel examines how past experiences influence present actions, as the main character navigates personal relationships, friendships, and loss while working to resolve the situation around her.
The plot centers on Rose’s efforts to address events affecting people close to her while confronting her own past. The book also explores themes of personal history and interpersonal connections.
