New principal hired at Templeton High School

–TUSD announced the hiring of Joshua P. Aston as the Templeton High School Principal beginning in the fall. Aston is currently a High School Principal in Minidoka County School District in Rupert, Idaho. His extensive education-related background includes work as an athletic coach in a number of different sports, Athletic Director, Social Studies Teacher, Technology Integration Specialist, High School Assistant Principal as well as his current position of High School Principal. Joshua is excited to bring his extensive background and enthusiasm for career technical education to Templeton High School.

In addition to his career in education, Aston serves in the United States Army Reserve as the Detailed Inspector General for the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. As an Army Reserve Major, Aston’s leadership skills have been tested as he was responsible for hundreds of soldiers and their families and millions of dollars of equipment and supplies.

Aston and his family are excited to relocate to the Central Coast and join the Templeton family. He will start on July 1.
