New records set at track meet

Cody Wilshusen set a Paso Robles High School record in the pole vault with a jump of 12’4″.

–The Paso Robles High School Track and Field teams competed Thursday afternoon in the Pac-8 Championships at Atascadero High School. The boys team finished 3rd with 111 points, behind Arroyo Grande with 223.5 and San Luis Obispo with 147. The girls team also finished third with 109 points. Arroyo Grande girls won the meet with 172 points. San Luis Obispo was second with 163. The Paso Robles boys Frosh-Soph team won the team title.

Among the standout performances, Annie Meeder won the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Cody Wilshusen set a Paso Robles High School record in the pole vault with a jump of 12’4″.

Trad Berti finished second in the 1600 meters and third in the 3200.

The next event for Paso Robles track and field athletes is the CIF Preliminaries May 13, 2017 at Moorpark High School. The California State Championships will be held June 2-3, 2017 at Buchanon High School in Fresno.
