New zoo education program series happening at the Paso Robles Library

–As part of the 2018 Summer Reading Program, the Library has partnered with the Charles Paddock Zoo to bring a monthly Zoo Education program to the Library. “We are so excited to be able to offer our patrons a monthly Saturday program, which will allow the whole family to attend our wildly popular live animal shows,” says Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. Coming up:

July 14 Habitat Happenings: Explore some of the unique habitats that animals survive and thrive in while learning about the adaptations that help them along the way.

August 4 Animal Munchies: Learn the difference between herbivores, carnivores, insectivores and omnivores with live animal ambassadors, skulls and teeth.

All programs are at 2 p.m. Free tickets are required and will be available at the Children’s Desk 30 minutes prior to show time. For more information, call Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit
