‘Newsies’ auditions to be held in April

–North County Theatre Works will hold auditions for the Disney Broadway musical “Newsies” in the Templeton Performing Arts Center (TPAC) on Friday, April 5, at 6 p.m.; callbacks will be held Sunday, April 7, at 4 p.m., also in the TPAC.
Show dates are June 21-23. Rehearsals will take place in the evenings and weekends at the TPAC beginning the week of April 22.
Interested parties should prepare 16-32 measures of a song from the show and bring a backtrack. Be prepared to learn a dance phrase. Bring tap shoes if you tap.

- Crutchie, any age 13 – 17, vocal range top A4 bottom C3

- Les, male age 10 – 15 vocal range top Bb3 bottom Db3
- Katherine Plumber, female age 17 – 20, vocal range top F5 bottom A3
- Medda Larkin, female age 25 – 45, vocal range top E5 bottom F3
- Joseph Pulitzer, age 35 – 50, vocal range top F4 bottom C3
- Newsies: Any Age 13 – 20, strong dance skills necessary; gymnastics a plus; some may double as other characters; will sing with ensemble
