Braver Angels Chief Executive Officer Maury Giles will speak on courageous citizenship at an event hosted by the Braver Angels San Luis Obispo Alliance on Feb. 18 at Chandler Hall at United Church of Christ SLO.

The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m., at 11245 Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo.

According to event organizers, Giles is traveling across the country to listen and learn while also sharing the organization’s mission and strategy. The event is intended to introduce attendees to the work of Braver Angels and provide information about its approach to civic engagement.

Launched in 2016, Braver Angels is a bipartisan citizens’ movement that brings together people from across the political spectrum to participate in public life and engage in structured dialogue. The organization describes its work as focused on fostering cooperation and communication among Americans with differing political views.

Free parking will be available at the venue. Registration is required.
