Local dance studios join for cancer research benefit in San Luis Obispo
– North County Dance and Performing Arts Foundation of Paso Robles, in collaboration with Class Act Dance and neighboring studios, will present “EPIC: Emerging Performers in Concert” on March 22 at Spanos Theater in San Luis Obispo.
The event aims to raise funds for pediatric cancer research in partnership with iDance4aCure. Participating studios and performance groups include Paso Robles Dance Collective, Main Street, Artistry in Motion, CORE Dance, McLaughlin Dance Collective, and Ballet Folklorico Flor DeLuna. Special performances will feature professional dancer Oscar Gutierrez, Broadway performer Jonathan Ritter, and Class Act Dance alumna Kailey Ardouin.
Doriana Sanchez, an Emmy nominee and World Choreography Award recipient, will direct the event.
“We are honored to unite the local dance community for such a crucial cause,” said Alyna Gibson, communication coordinator at Class Act Dance. “EPIC is more than just a showcase; it’s a platform to educate, empower, and inspire a new generation of childhood cancer advocates. This fight is #ourfight, and together, we can make a significant impact.”
