    North County Farmers Markets celebrate National Farmers Market Week 

    –This week, the North County Farmers Markets are celebrating National Farmers Market Weeks. Each Farmers Market is offering residents a chance to Spin-and-Win baskets of strawberries, carrots or other offerings. There is also a chance to win a Farmer’s Market bag full of produce.

    The first celebration of National Farmer’s Market held Tuesday morning in downtown Paso Robles. The celebration continues in Atascadero Weddnesday afternoon at the Sunken Gardens. There will also be special prizes at the Templeton Farmers Market Saturday morning from 9-12:30 at the Templeton City Park.

    Robin Gable of the North County Farmers Market says there are farmers markets across the country, each offering produce from that communities local region. She says, “The markets help support local farmers, and keep them in agriculture.”

    In Paso Robles Tuesday morning, people lined up to try to win a basket of fresh strawberries or carrots, or a Farmers Market bag filled with produce.
