North County schools honored for positive behavior initiatives 

– The San Luis Obispo County Office of Education recognized 23 schools for their implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS). These schools were awarded at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. Many North County schools were named to the list.

Here are all 23 schools in the county that received awards:

Bronze Awards:

• Atascadero Middle School, Atascadero Unified School District
• San Gabriel Elementary, Atascadero Unified School District
• Atascadero Fine Arts Academy, Atascadero Unified School District
• Monterey Road Elementary, Atascadero Unified School District
• Santa Rosa Academic Academy, Atascadero Unified School District
• Templeton Middle School, Templeton Unified School District
• Templeton Elementary, Templeton Unified School District
• Sinsheimer Elementary, San Luis Coastal Unified School District

Silver Awards:

• Almond Acres Charter Academy, San Luis Obispo County Office of Education
• Harloe Elementary, Lucia Mar Unified School District
• Nipomo High School, Lucia Mar Unified School District
• Lillian Larsen Elementary, San Miguel Joint Union School District
• Chris Jespersen ILP, San Luis Obispo County Office of Education
• SLO County Juvenile Hall, San Luis Obispo County Office of Education
• Santa Margarita Elementary, Atascadero Unified School District

Gold Awards:

• Grover Heights Elementary, Lucia Mar Unified School District
• Mesa Middle School, Lucia Mar Unified School District
• Creston Elementary, Atascadero Unified School District
• Vineyard Elementary, Templeton Unified School District
• Loma Vista Community School, San Luis Obispo County Office of Education
• Kermit King Elementary, Paso Robles Joint Unified School District
• Cappy Culver Elementary, San Miguel Joint Union School District

Platinum Award:

• Dorothea Lange Elementary, Lucia Mar Unified School District
