North County sports update 

–The Templeton Eagles beat the previously undefeated St. Bernard’s Crusaders of Eureka, 49-21 Friday night in Templeton. The Crusaders scored late in the second quarter to tie the game 14-14, but Coach Don Crow made some adjustments at half time. In the second half, the Eagles outscored the Crusaders 35-7. Templeton stopped the Crusader’s potent offense and forced several turnovers.

The Eagles improve to 5-1 for the season. The Crusaders fall to 5-1. The Eagles host Santa Maria next week for Homecoming.

The Atascadero Greyhounds lost to Royal High School of Simi Valley, 27-13. The Highlanders led at halftime, 7-0. They put up 20 points in the 4th quarter to seal the win. They improve to 2-5 for the season. The Greyhounds fall to 2-4. The Greyhounds play next Friday at San Luis Obispo.

The Paso Robles Bearcats had a bye. The Bearcats host Arroyo Grande next Friday night. The game was scheduled to be played in Arroyo Grande, but the renovation of the field has made it unplayable. The Bearcats are 2-4 for the season. The AG Eagles are 4-3. They’ll meet next Friday at War Memorial Stadium.
