North County Wine Grape Growers vote in new board members
Lowell Zelinski to lead the organization as president in 2016
–The Independent Grape Growers of the Paso Robles Area, an association dedicated to the advancement of superior wine grape growing in the Paso Robles area, has announced its newly elected officers for the 2016 year.
Stepping up to officer positions are incumbent board members President Lowell Zelinski, Vice President Joe Irick, Secretary Michelle Hido and Treasurer Angela Mitchell. All are wine grape growers in the Paso Robles area. Newly elected board members are Jim Wortner who will serve as the Seminars Committee Chair and Marty Self who will serve as the Special Events Committee Chair.
“We honor the volunteer hours and leadership of our outgoing officers and look forward to continuing the growth of the organization under the direction of Dr. Zelinski,” says Ken Bray, IGGPRA Immediate Past President and Marketing Committee Chair.
IGGPRA was formed over 13 years ago by a local group of wine grape growers that saw the need to gather and share information. Together they are working to increase yields and efficiencies while supporting each other in the ever changing world of agriculture and farming.
