Obituary for Anita Marie Fournier, 89 

–Anita Marie Fournier, age 89 of Templeton, CA., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019. She was born to the late Gustave and Josephine Parise on Feb. 3, 1930.

Anita formerly lived in Rumford, ME., Roxbury Pond, ME., St. Petersburg, FL. and Biddeford, ME. before moving to California with her daughter.

She married George S. Worthley in 1949 who predeceased her in 1985. Growing up, they along with their six children, enjoyed many summers camping in the Rangeley Lakes region in Maine. In later years she married Gerald F. Fournier in 1996 who also predeceased her in 2005 where they enjoyed another wonderful chapter in their lives for 10 years.

Anita is survived by her four daughters, Brenda and husband Richard Cressey, Templeton, CA., Sharon and husband Thomas Sinclair, Mexico, ME., Gloria Morton, Rumford, ME. and Christine husband Jeffrey Hersom, Shapleigh, ME. and two sons, George Worthley and partner Laurina Laverriere, Biddeford, ME. and Michael and wife Wanda Worthley, Roxbury Pond, ME. Anita also enjoyed her several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers Robert and wife Carol Parise, Rumford, ME. and Joseph Parise and his partner Judith Richardson, Andover, ME. as well as a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

Anita enjoyed her family and made friends wherever she might be and especially enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She also enjoyed making quilts for her family.

Anita requested a mass to be held at the Holy Savior Church in Rumford, ME. to be held in Oct. 2019. The family wishes to thank all of those who loved and cared for her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Anita Fournier to: Team Hailey Hugs, 349 Songo Pond Rd., Bethel, ME. 04217. This is a non-profit organization near and dear to her heart and is in honor of beautiful young Hailey, a strong and loving little girl succumbed to childhood cancer. The goal of Team Hailey Hugs is to help families who have children with cancer and to spread awareness to GO Gold.
