Eddie married his sweetheart Patricia in special ICU wedding days before his passing
– Eddie Dobbins passed away on Jan. 27 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, just two days after having a special ICU wedding to his longtime love, Patricia Hartmann.
Dobbins came to Mountain View with a combination of COVID-19, bacterial pneumonia and cancer. Because of his COVID-19 status, Hartmann had been unable to visit him. Hospital staff made exceptions for the nuptials. Edward Dobbins died two days later. The Las Vegas Sun did a special feature on the couple and their wedding.

Dobbins was born in San Luis Obispo and spent the majority of his life living in Paso Robles. He served in the Navy, Army, and California National Guard. He spent his last five years living in Laughlin, Nevada.
He is survived by his sister Rose Mary Dobbins and his wife Patty.
