– Edwin Clyde Lombardi, 98, of Paso Robles, CA. died in his sleep on Aug. 4, 2025
Edwin was born on October 21, 1926, in King City, California, the second child born to Joseph C. Lombardi and Mary Dresser Lombardi.
He grew up on the family farm in San Ardo CA, where he attended San Ardo School. After graduating from King City High School, he joined the military in 1945 and served 2 years duty.
He returned to the farm and joined his father and brother, Harold Lombardi in the Lombardi Farming operations until they retired in 1996.
He married Joyce Gay of Bakersfield on Feb. 4, 1962, at Old Mission San Miguel. They had two sons, Rodney Lombardi and Kenneth Lombardi. Then made their home on the farm in San Ardo.
They retired to a home in Paso Robles in 1996. Edwin was a member of the Knights of Columbus in King City.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Harold Lombardi.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Lombardi, and his sons, Rodney Lombardi and Kenneth Lombardi (wife Alex), granddaughter Christi-Ann Lombardi, and grandson Christian Lombardi
As per his wishes, there will be no services and his remains will be placed in the Paso Robles Cemetery with a private remembering by his family.
Donations in his memory may be given to San Ardo School or San Ardo Branch of the Monterey County Free Library.
