Obituary for James Fry, 69
–Charles (Chuck) James Fry, 69, of Roswell, New Mexico passed away unexpectedly, March. 6, 2020.
Chuck was born in Seattle, WA on Nov. 28, 1950. He moved to San Luis Obispo as a young child. He attended Quintana Elementary School and the San Luis Obispo Junior and Senior school, graduating on June 13, 1969. He loved working at Nacimiento Lake before becoming a SLO County Deputy Sheriff in Paso Robles where he worked for 31 years before retiring.
Chuck moved to Ruidoso New Mexico in 2012 where he really enjoyed the New Mexico lifestyle. He enjoyed getting back to riding horses in the mountains, hunting, RVing, his family and friends, and of course his faithful chocolate Labrador, “Cooper.”
In 2015, Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Linda Pate Carlson which added two stepsons to his life. In 2020, Chuck and Linda moved to Roswell, New Mexico.
Survived by his wife, Linda, Roswell, New Mexico, Stepson Eugene and wife Leslie of Aurora, CO, Stepson Boo and wife Kim of Fort Collins, CO, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren of Colorado.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends to be announced at a later date.
