Obituary of Terry Leland Buttle, 80 

Terry Leland Buttle
–On Sunday, March 7, Terry Leland Buttle, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 80.

Terry was born on November 14, 1940 in San Francisco, and was raised in San Mateo Ca. He served in the Army from 1959-1962 including time in Lybia and Iran. In 1967 he graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in business. In 1968 he married the love of his life, Betty Garman. Together they made their home in Salinas Ca. where they raised three children. Terry worked as the Controller for Hartnell College for 20+ years and retired in 2006.

Terry had a passion for his family’s ranch. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of what he called “God’s Country.” His dry sense of humor and quick wit brought smiles to everyone he knew. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Terry is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty; his three children, Kim Steiger, Dorrie (Rick) Andrade, and Bob Buttle; his grandchildren Amber and Aaron Steiger, Chris and Amanda Andrade, and Garrett Buttle; his sisters Bobbie Daily, Lynn Brown and his brother Dennis Wyant.

There will be private services held for family members.
