Obituary of Donn Heinsen Bunte Jr.
July 23, 1957 – January 16, 2026
In the care of Chapel of the Roses & Chapel of the Roses Cemetery
– Donn Bunte, Jr. ( Bubba), age 68, passed suddenly as the result of a construction accident.
Born on July 23, 1957, in King City, CA.
Bubba spent his entire working life in the construction industry. A master carpenter, he approached the field with pride, passion, skill, knowledge, and his commitment to integrity.
He found peace at the beach, surfing Morro Rock, reading, and spending time with his beloved dogs.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and those whose lives he touched. He leaves behind his wife, Wendy Ayers, his mother, Patricia Bunte, brothers, Todd Bunte, Mark Bunte, and Eric Bunte, his sisters, Elaine Pappenfus, Aileen Madson, Kathleen Agostini, and preceding him in passing, Nadine Bunte Enterline, as well as many cousins, nephews who were always present in his life. A celebration of life will be held on February 25th at 12:00 at St Williams Church in Atascadero.
The family requests that donations be made to San Antonio Mission or L.A. Boxer Rescue.
