Donna Lee (Emerald) Silva.
– Donna Lee (Emerald) Silva, age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R, Silva with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.
Born on October 3, 1946, in Massachusetts, Donna was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Lucia (Lucy Cieri) Emerald. After high school, Donna attended San Francisco State College. She retired from Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA as a secretary in 1989. That’s when Donna and Tom moved to Paso Robles, CA.
Donna was a fun-loving, entertainer and devoted animal advocate. She loved to dress up, sing, and dance at social and family functions. Donna was best known for her belly dancing and went by the stage name,” Zahra.” She danced professionally at parties and special events and often made her own costumes. Donna’s love for entertainment and animals led her to produce an amateur variety show to collect funds for her work with her furry friends. She would spend countless hours connecting lost pets with their families and paying for services out of pocket when needed. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and dog and cats alike.
Donna is survived by her stepchildren Karen Brewer, Lynn Morley, Brian Silva and his wife Colleen, sister-in-law Jenny Emerald, nieces Anna and Elizabeth Emerald, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several cousins, and friends.
Donna is predeceased by her brother Richard Emerald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral which will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, 1703 Spring St Paso Robles, CA 93446. Burial will follow at the Paso Robles District Cemetery
