Donna Rae Kennard.
– Donna Rae Kennard, 73, passed away peacefully on Nov. 6, 2025, at her home in Portland, OR, after a five-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Donna spent much of her childhood in Lompoc. She married the love of her life, Richard “Chan” Kennard, in 1972, and together they raised two daughters.
The family settled in Paso Robles/Heritage Ranch in 1985, where Donna had a successful career as a paralegal in San Luis Obispo for over 30 years. Donna and Chan built a home filled with warmth, humor, and family gatherings.
Donna will be remembered for her strength, intelligence, generosity, and deep devotion to her family. She loved camping, boating, traveling, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
She is survived by her father, Verlin Morehouse; daughters, Lindsay Friedlander and Lenna Cope; grandchildren, Zachary, Miah, and Lola; and siblings, Sandra, Randy, Gayle, and Chris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chan; her mother, Rae; and her brother, Gary.
