Obituary of Gabriel Roman De La Torre, 58

Gabriel Roman De La Torre.
– Gabriel Roman De La Torre, 58, passed away while asleep at his home in Paso Robles early Wednesday morning, February 25th, 2026. Born in San Jose, California, on Aug. 1, 1967, Gabe spent most of his life forming enduring connections within his community of peers and family throughout the Bay Area. Having worked primarily as a carpenter and tradesman for over three decades, he took extreme pride in his craftsmanship and often volunteered his time and expertise to those closest to him.
In his free time, Gabe enjoyed attending shows and concerts that spanned all genres and eras, playing Cyberball with his brothers Kelly, Chris, Will, and Nain, excelled in sports such as football and baseball through his younger days, became a devout fan of franchises like the Chicago Bears, and above all else cherished the leisure time he was able to spend with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Debbie, his children Ariel and Roman, and his parents Gabriel and Dolores.
Gabe treated every meetup with those closest to him as an opportunity to create a lasting memory, and his presence brought excitement and liveliness to whatever room he walked into. He will be remembered for his propensity to go above and beyond for those he loved, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
A memorial gathering for those wishing to celebrate Gabe’s life will be held at the Yerba Buena Picnic area of Hellyer County Park in San Jose on May 2nd, 2026, from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm (985 Hellyer Ave, San Jose, CA 95111).
