Glenna Mae Rovenstine.
– Glenna Mae Rovenstine (née Rowlett), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on June 25, 1938, in Bakersfield, Missouri, to Glenn and Dorothy Rowlett.
At the age of nine, Glenna moved with her family to California, where she later graduated from Paso Robles High School with the Class of 1956. During her school years, she met the love of her life, Bert Rovenstine. The two were high school sweethearts and married in 1957, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and family. Together they raised four children.
Glenna’s greatest joy in life was being a mom and grandmother. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel loved and cherished. Whether through a thoughtful conversation, time spent together, or one of the countless birthday cards she faithfully sent each year, Glenna touched the lives of many. Her family often joked that she single-handedly kept Hallmark in business, never missing an opportunity to celebrate the people she loved.
She treasured every moment spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be held close for generations to come.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dorothy Rowlett; her husband, Bert Rovenstine; her daughter, Debbie Rovenstine; and her sister, Wilma Estrada.
She is lovingly survived by her sons, Tim (Diana) Rovenstine, Marty (Kathe) Rovenstine, and Bert Rovenstine Jr.; her sister, Laverne Poole; her brother, Jack Rowlett (Loretta); eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Templeton Cemetery, followed by a hosted luncheon. Please RSVP for the luncheon to pasolife56@gmail.com, or by contacting a family member.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Glenna’s memory to one of her favorite charities: St. Joseph’s Indian School or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
