Obituary of Judith Youman-Taylor, 84

Judith Youman-Taylor.
– Judith Youman-Taylor, longtime Paso Robles resident and owner of Sentimental Journey, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Paso Robles, California, at the age of 84.
Born on February 4, 1941, Judith lived a life defined by independence, strength, and a deepening devotion to God in her later years. She was never one to sugarcoat things, and her children knew well her spirited, straightforward manner — a defining and memorable part of who she was.
While raising her children, Judith worked for Bob’s Big Boy as a service manager. She thoroughly enjoyed her position as well as the restaurant industry as a whole. Later, as the owner of Sentimental Journey, Judith created a place where many renters and tenants appreciated her presence. Those who interacted with her often spoke warmly of her fairness, kindness, and the respect she showed to everyone who crossed her path. Through her work, she built more than a business — she cultivated a small community that remembered her fondly.
Judith had a special and devoted bond with her dog, Moses, whom she dearly loved. He preceded her in death, and those who knew Judith understood just how much comfort and companionship he brought into her life.
Judith is survived by her children: Daniel Braun, Deborah McCann, and Jake Youman, along with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lincoln Burch and Lorraine Ellen Popeney, her husband Trent Taylor, and her brother Charlie Burch.
She will be remembered for her resilience, her faith, her candor, and the unmistakable presence she carried throughout her life.
A private family gathering will be held in her honor.
