Obituary of Maria de Jesus Ruelas, 70

– With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maria de Jesus “Chuy” Ruelas on May 9, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on July 11, 1955, in the city of Tijuana, Mexico to Bonifacio Ruelas and María del Carmen Bravo.
To know Maria was to know her compassionate and caring spirit. She was strong, hardworking, and selfless. She always put her family first and gave endlessly of herself without asking anything in return. Maria was a devoted, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family, and those who became family with all her heart.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband Izaac, father Bonifacio, Mother Maria, sister Juana, and brother Arturo Ruelas.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Gonzalez, Freddie Gonzalez, Edgar Olmos and daughter, Isaura Olmos-Barajas; daughter in Law Patricia Olmos; son in Law Jose Barajas-Chavez; six grandchildren – Audrey & Izaac Gonzalez, Izabella & Gabriella Olmos, and Jason & Jemma Barajas-Olmos; and her siblings, Rosa Isela Olachea, Christina Licon, Francisco Ruelas, Maria Quiroz, Efrén Ruelas, and Miguel Ruelas.
