Obituary of Roger Louis Hansen, 75

Service will be held March 19, at 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Community Church in Paso Robles

– Roger (Marty) Louis Hansen, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at age 75 on February 18, 2022. Roger was born in Burbank, CA in 1946 to Elmer and Dolores Hansen.

Roger joined the Army in 1967 during the Vietnam War at the age of 20. He served as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Military Assistance Command and the Radio Research Communications Unit. After his service in the Army, Roger found a new career in Hollywood and worked on films such as Rambo III, Terminator 2, Blues Brothers and many more. Roger and his family moved to Paso Robles in 1988. He was a master mechanic, welder, fabricator and a jack of all trades, he was well known in the industrial community and played a pivotal role in the growing wine industry. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and fellowshipping with his church family at Covenant Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered with Morning Star Youth Ranch and gave much of his time to helping friends and family.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Carole, his sons Andy (Monica) of Buellton and Jonathan (Carrie) of Atascadero, six grandchildren and his brother Richard (Diane) along with his nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 19, at 1:30 p.m. At Covenant Community Church 1450 Golden Hill Rd. Paso Robles, CA 93446.
