– Sione P. Kulihaapai, 65, of Paso Robles, Passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2024, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 12 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2600 Ramona Rd, Atascadero, CA 93422.

Sione was born in the village of Tu’anuku Vava’u, Island of Tonga on March 9th, 1959, to Sione and Mele Kulihaapai. Sione moved to the United States in his twenties and worked hard in various facets of construction work including steel wright, builder, steel worker, bricklayer, and mason. Sione was a remarkable provider to his family and a wonderful friend and supporter to all who held him close to their hearts.
He married Nasha Alva on Oct. 21, 1991. Sione loved being near the ocean and took every opportunity be outside working with his hands. He was a cornerstone to his family and will be greatly missed by his loved ones and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mele and Sione Kulihaapai, siblings: Palutea Tuifua, Asipeli Kulihaapai, Ainise Sitake, Seini Mele Tauveli, Tupounuia Kulihaapai, Lakai Kulihaapai, Sione Maluifonua Kulihaapai.
He is survived by his wife Nasha Kulihaapai, his son Etoni Tonga (Jessica), daughters Isalei Fauset (Matthew), and Veisinia Kulihaapai, and 16 grandchildren. Siblings; Kisaea Mohuvai One one, Pasiaka Potauaine, Seini Tokilupe Fietonu, Moahengi Kulihaapai, Muivai Kulihaapai.
