Officer Brady Cox receives medal for saving 13-year-old

–The Paso Robles City Council recognized Officer Brady Cox by bestowing him the Paso Robles Police Department’s Life Saving Medal during their Dec 19 meeting. The recognition was the result of Officer Cox’s heroic action related to a Sept 20 investigation where he helped save the life of a 13-year old girl. Cox was assigned a missing persons investigation involving the 13-year old and in the course of the investigation, Cox located the young girl, unconscious in the backseat of a sport utility vehicle.  It appeared the young girl had been left in an intoxicated, unconscious and unresponsive state. Although breathing, she was in need of immediate medical attention.

Cox requested fire and ambulance and administered first aid and lifesaving measures until medical assistance arrived. The young lady was transported to Sierra Vista Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, and from there, due to her critical condition, airlifted to Stanford Medical Center. Eventually, the young girl fully recovered from her condition.
