Officer DJ Bigelow Memorial Scholarship awarded to two students

–On June 8, the Paso Robles Police Officer’s Association awarded two $250 scholarships to Paso Robles High School seniors Annie Meeder and Sadie Mae Mace.

The PRPOA established the Officer DJ Bigelow Memorial Scholarship in the spring of 2015 after they began raising money for the newly established Widows and Orphans’ Fund. This fund was started after a PRPOA member, Officer DJ Bigelow, was diagnosed with cancer to help the family through tough times. The PRPOA continues to give back to citizens and has named the scholarship in honor of Officer DJ Bigelow, who was also a coach at PRHS.
