One clerk cited in minor decoy alcohol sting 

On Saturday, June 6, officers from the Paso Robles Police Department conducted a minor decoy operation designed to help reduce youth access to alcohol. This operation involved a minor attempting to purchase alcoholic beverages from Paso Robles businesses. The minor was being monitored by undercover officers.

The operation took place at fourteen different businesses in Paso Robles between 3 – 9 p.m.minor decoy The only business cited was Woodland Chevron at 190 Niblick Rd.

The minor entered several businesses and attempt to purchase alcohol.. The clerk that sold the alcohol at Woodland Chevron was issued a citation. The penalty for this violation is a $1000 fine and community service.

The Woodland Chevron where this clerk is employed will also be contacted by investigators from Alcohol Beverage Control and may face sanctions, according to police.

Paso Robles Police and Alcohol Beverage Control Investigators will be conducting similar operations in the coming months, with the goal being to reduce the availability of alcohol to minors.

Wayside Liquors, 703 Creston Rd.
CVS, 187 Niblick Rs.
