Optimist club donates to Applause Children’s Theater’s spring performance
–The Optimist Club of Paso Robles recently presented a check for $500 in support of The Applause Children’s Theater’s Spring performance of Annie.
The play will be performed inside The Flamson Middle School Auditorium. The check was presented to Optimist Club member and play director Vikky Mullens. Vikky has been working with the youth of Paso Robles the past 10 years and most recently founded The Applause Children’s Theatre, as a venue for local children to perform as actors and actresses. The theater group has produced many shows the past few yeas including Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz. This spring’s production of Annie will feature a cast of 79 amazing young performers that will take the stage in a performance you won’t forget. There will be a total of six performances featuring two lead casts. Tickets are available on www.Eventbrite.com.
The Optimist Club of Paso Robles is a local service club dedicated to serving the youth of our community. They raise funds with a Winemaker’s Bowling Tournament, Chinese Auction and other events throughout the year.
According to club President, Peter Lucier, the club was excited to help Vikky and the Applause Theater. “Vikky, her volunteers and the parents of the cast have donated thousands of hours of work towards this production. We love how these plays add to our community.” Peter added “get your tickets and and enjoy a first class show.”
