    Update: Highway 46 overnight roadway closures canceled, to be rescheduled

    – Overnight roadway closures at the Highway 46 Highway 101 interchange previously scheduled to begin on Sunday, Oct. 27 are canceled and will be rescheduled.

    The new dates for these roadway closures will be announced once confirmed.

    This work is part of a project that includes improvements from near the Highway 101 Highway 46 East Interchange to just east of Airport Road.

    The contractor for this $8.9 million project is Papich Construction of Arroyo Grande.

    Travelers are encouraged to be aware of electronic message boards, flaggers, and all highway workers within these work zones.

    Overnight road closures at Highway 46 start later this month

    – Road closures are scheduled at the Highway 46/US 101 interchange overnight starting Sunday, Oct. 27.

    The closures will occur from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday night and from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights, weather permitting. The southbound US 101 on- and off-ramps will be closed with detours in place, and alternating lane closures may occur on the northbound US 101 on- and off-ramps.

    The traffic control is expected to be completed by Friday, Nov. 1.
