– A painting was stolen from Studios on the Park in Paso Robles on Saturday, according to the gallery. The artwork, an 8-by-16 study of Moonstone Beach, belonged to artist Anne Laddon and was taken from her studio.
Laddon’s husband, Jim Irving, said the painting was significant as Laddon was preparing to create a larger version based on the study. “While she has the photo reference, the study is important for her to work from as it captures the essence and mood of the scene,” Irving said.
According to Irving, the theft occurred around 3 p.m. while Laddon was working at the front desk at Studios on the Park. The painting was reportedly taken from her work table during that time.
it’s awesome print….
What a beautiful picture! I’m so sorry it’s missing. It breaks my heart that someone would do something like that. I’m so sorry!
I hope this painting is returned or discovered.
