Paso Lotus Club drives Highway 1 through Big Sur
Group traveled from Cambria to Tree Bones Resort
– Paso Lotus Club members traveled from Cambria to Tree Bones Resort during an Aug. 6 drive along Highway 1.
The group drove past San Simeon, Ragged Point, and Gorda before continuing through Big Sur. Fog covered the sea, while sunny conditions prevailed along the coast. Drivers accelerated and downshifted through the road’s turns before arriving at the hillside resort, where the group ate in the dining room and viewed the ocean.
David Thompson drove a green Lotus Emira. Dave Low and Mary joined the drive in Low’s Porsche 718 rather than his usual Lotus Super 7. Steve Carle drove a green Lotus Emira, and Obie and Joy Silverwood drove a blue Lotus Emira.
Thompson planned and led the drive.
