Paso Market Walk adds ‘experimental nursery’ to list of merchants
–Paso Market Walk, a public market slated to open Oct. 2019, recently announced the addition of Gather Urban Agriculture to their list of merchants.
In addition to providing the visual design for the market and growing many of the culinary ingredients that will be used by merchants onsite, Gather will offer workshops and experiences that introduce gardening to both the skilled and the newly interested.
Founder Laura Morgan holds a degree in horticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has extensive knowledge of horticulture and agriculture on a production level. Through her calendar of workshops at Paso Market Walk, she will guide guests in planting micro-greens at the micro-green bar, creating terrariums and table top water gardens at the terrarium bar, arranging cut flowers at the cut flower bar, creating container gardens using succulents, houseplants, herbs, vegetables, fruits and berries or ornamental plants, and growing food at home using a unique selection of miniature vegetables and miniature fruit trees.
“Having worked at Hometown Nursery, formerly a part of the Paso Market Walk site, I’m excited to see this property come full circle with the opening of my own nursery,” said Morgan.
Tenants already committed to the Paso Market Walk include: Just Baked Cake Studio & Bakery, Montello Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar Tasting Room, Stafford’s Chocolates, The Vreamery, Momotaro Ramen and Leo Leo Gelato.
The Paso Market Walk plan calls for a cluster of buildings with two restaurants, six vacation rentals and several retail stores, and is located at 1803 Spring Street, in Paso Robles. For more information, visit the website at pasomarketwalk.com.
