Paso Robles logs second straight day of record heat
City broke its previous daily temperature record of 105 degrees yesterday
– For two consecutive days, Paso Robles Municipal Airport recorded a record-breaking temperature, reaching 108 degrees on Oct. 2, according to meteorologist John Lindsey.
In a post on social media, Lindsey confirmed the city broke its previous daily temperature record of 105 degrees yesterday, which was set in 2012. This marks the second straight day the North County city has set a new high during the heat wave currently affecting San Luis Obispo County.
“Yet another day brings another record-breaking high. The Paso Robles Airport logged a scorching 108 degrees today, shattering the previous daily record of 105 set in 2012. Note: The maximum temperature may continue to rise this afternoon. More records are likely to fall tomorrow, with a forecasted high of 108 degrees, poised to surpass the 1987 record of 103 for that day,” Lindsey said.
The heat wave is expected to continue through the week, with more record-breaking temperatures likely across the region.
