Paso Robles baseball team beats Hanford West 13-1 

Bearcat sports paso robles high school–Monday afternoon, the Paso Robles boys baseball team beat Hanford West 13-1 in Hanford. Sophomore Jakob Wright started for the Bearcats and threw four innings. He gave up only two hits and one run. Wright struck out seven. Senior Dylan Castellanos shut down Hanford West in the fifth inning.

The Bearcats scored five runs in the first inning, and three in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings. The game was called after they put up two additional runs in the 5th innings.

The Bearcats improve to 5-2 for the season. They’ve won their last three games under first year head coach, Jonathon Thornhill.

The Bearcats travel to Santa Maria Wednesday to take on Righetti. The next home game for the Bearcats is Friday against Mt. Whitney High School.

The Paso Robles girls softball team plays at Nipomo Tuesday afternoon. That game gets underway at 3:30, weather permitting. The Bearcats beat Central Fresno 11-0 Friday afternoon. In that game, freshman Jaiden Ralston gave up only one hit and two walks. She struck out four of the 18 batters she faced.

The Atascadero girls softball team hosts Shafter Thursday afternoon at 3:30. Friday, the Greyhounds lost to Buchanon 7-1.
