Paso Robles Bearcats bring home 31-12 victory over Righetti

Bearcats kick off PAC 7 League opener with impressive win

SANTA MARIA – The Paso Robles High School varsity Bearcats brought home a 36-12 win over the Righetti Warriors Friday night in the PAC 7 League football opener for both teams at Warrior Stadium in Santa Maria.

The Bearcats had a 14-6 lead over the Warriors going into halftime before adding a field goal in the third quarter and two additional touchdowns in the fourth to seal their victory.

Quarterback Justin Davis allowed no interceptions and was 14 for 17 for a total of 144 yards for the Bearcats. Paso running back Nathaniel Harris rushed for 182 yards on 15 carries and scored three touchdowns. Wide receiver Bailey Gaither finished with 77 yards on seven catches and one touchdown. Bryce Pasky was 4 for 4 on PAT’s and kicked in one field goal for Paso.

The Bearcats (3-1 overall, 1-0 PAC 7) are back on the road this Friday as they take on the San Luis Obispo Tigers (3-3 overall, 0-1 PAC 7). The junior varsity players take the field at 4 p.m. and varsity kicks off at 7 p.m. On Thursday at 5 p.m. the PRHS frosh football team will host SLO at War Memorial Stadium.
