Each scout completed several requirements to reach Eagle Scout

-FIfteen Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 60 were recently honored for achieving Eagle Scout. The scouts were recognized during the Boy Scout Court of Honor held at the First Baptist Church in Paso Robles.

To achieve Eagle Scout, each scout must complete a series of requirements to move through seven ranks that culminate in the rank of Eagle Scout. This requires years of dedication to meetings, skill development, merit badge completion, and troop community service projects. In addition, each Scout must complete an Independent Community Service Project that serves a need identified by the Scout. Some of the merit badges required to attain the rank of Eagle Scout include Citizenship in the Nation and Citizenship in the World, Communications, Emergency Preparedness, and Family Life. The troop also performs various community service projects such as creek clean up, and flag placement around the city and cemetery for Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
