Paso Robles businesses asked to support Fourth of July event
Travel Paso contributes $35,000, but $60,000 still needed
– Organizers of Paso Robles’ annual Fourth of July celebration are seeking $60,000 in additional funding from local businesses to ensure the event continues this year.
Travel Paso, a tourism organization, has pledged $35,000 toward the event but says more community contributions are needed to cover the full cost.
The annual celebration attracts visitors and residents, generating economic benefits for the city. A tourism study by Beacon Economics reported that in 2023, visitors spent $450.8 million in Paso Robles, supporting 3,424 jobs—one-fifth of the city’s total employment. Tourism also generated $10 million in lodging taxes, which fund city services, and contributed 37% of the city’s General Fund revenue.
Organizers say the Fourth of July event supports local businesses by drawing visitors who stay in hotels, dine at restaurants, and shop in Paso Robles.
The city has created a 2025 sponsorship package to encourage local businesses to contribute.
