2016 ‘Roblan of the Year’ announced
Paso Robles resident Hugh Pitts awarded the honor
– The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipient of the 2016 Roblan of Year award will go to Paso Robles resident Hugh Pitts. Pitts has lived, worked, and sold real estate in the Adelaida area, just west of Paso Robles, since 1987, where he raises commercial Charolais Cross and English Cross cattle on Chimney Rock Ranch. He has made the beautiful farms, ranches, vineyards, acreage and luxury estates of the Adelaida area and the Westside his specialty.

In order to provide the best service for his clients, Pitts remains active in many of the area’s local organizations and strives to stay abreast of any news, regulations or legislation that might affect the Adelaida area or our agricultural industry. His awards include: “2016 Agriculturalist of the Year” awarded by California State Board of Equalization & the California Mid-State Fair, “Roblan of the Month” in March 2016 and has been a member of the RE/MAX Platinum Club for eight years since 2000.
President and CEO of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, Gina Fitzpatrick, shared that every year the Roblan of the Year Committee receives nominations from members of the Chamber of Commerce and selects recipients from those nominated. She explained that this is a difficult task with so many wonderful nominations to choose from; however, this year, Pitts and the City Park Playground were the standouts.

Hugh’s extensive volunteerism coupled with his dedication to keep agriculture alive in Paso Robles and reminding us of our roots, make him a pillar in our community and very worthy of this prestigious award.”

2016 Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala
The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala, “Celebrate the Magic”, will be held on Feb. 11 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom, located at 1103 Spring Street in Paso Robles. The fundraising will include a silent auction, dinner and live music. The menu for the Gala will include Certified Angus Roasted Prime Rib, Salmon or Grilled Portobello “steaks”.
“If you choose to donate, your items will be showcased in our auction area at the event for over 250 guests to view,” says Fitzpatrick. “Businesses that donate an item with a value of $1,000 or more will also be included in our event program.”
