    – The Paso Robles City Library will host its monthly book group on May 21 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in recognition of Asian Heritage Month. Participants will discuss Malice by Keigo Higashino.

The novel follows the investigation into the murder of bestselling novelist Kunihiko Hidaka, who is found dead in his locked office on the eve of relocating from Japan to Vancouver. Although Hidaka’s wife and best friend, Osamu Nonoguchi, appear to have alibis, Police Detective Kyochiro Kaga questions the nature of their relationships and uncovers evidence that contradicts their claims.

The book presents a story of hidden motives and a complex investigation between detective and suspect.

Registration is now open and required to attend the discussion.
