Paso Robles City Library receives 100-book donation
– The Paso Robles City Library invites community members to a celebratory ribbon cutting recognizing their 2016 Giving Tree donations on Friday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. Those attending will get first pick of the titles to check out.
Thanks to the efforts of the Paso Robles Library Foundation, the library has received a donation of 100 new books, making this year’s Giving Tree campaign the most successful ever.
The Giving Tree is an opportunity for community members to give back to the library during the holiday season by purchasing a title from the library’s holiday tree which can be dedicated to a loved one and added to the library’s book collection. This year’s Giving Tree featured fiction and non-fiction bestsellers and award winners for children, teens, and adults. “It is so gratifying to be able to contribute these terrific new books to our library’s collection. We really appreciate the community’s support for our Giving Tree this year,” said Foundation President Jan York.
The Paso Robles Library Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the library’s commitment to excellence in library service. Over the years, through contributions large and small, the Foundation has made possible the creation of new collections, expansion of many of your favorite library programs and activities, and modernization of furnishings throughout the library.
The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, call (805) 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
