Fundraiser to be held May 7– The Paso Robles Education Alliance (PREA) is set to host a benefit concert on Sunday, May 7 at J Dusi Winery. The event, which has free admission, will feature live music from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., food from Junction Restaurant, and a live and silent auction. Musicians including Route 66 (classic rock), Emily Smith (contemporary), and Paso Libre (contemporary) will be performing at the event, with all proceeds going towards PREA’s teacher grant program.
The auction items are set to include a range of unique experiences, such as five nights at a beautiful Shaver Lake vacation home, private cooking lessons for four from Chef Andre of Paso Terra, a private airplane tour of the central coast for two, a magnum of 2013 Saxum James Berry Vineyard signed by Justin Smith (owner of Saxum), and local artist paintings.
PREA’s teacher grant program helps fund educational resources not covered by the standard budget, such as art, science, music, and reading materials. The organization has given thousands of dollars in grants this year alone, highlighting the importance of supporting their cause.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a low chair or a blanket to enjoy the music and a fun-filled day in support of PREA and the students and educational staff in Paso Robles.
