Paso Robles Fire Department conducts training event ahead of fire season
Participants will practice land navigation, mapping, radio procedures, and various medical scenarios throughout the day
– Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department will host a Wildland EMT and paramedic class on May 1 and May 2 in the city.
Fire apparatus and personnel will be present in the Montebello Oaks open space area on May 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The training will also involve Mercy 34, the local emergency air ambulance team based out of Paso Robles, which will be landing in the area. Participants will practice land navigation, mapping, radio procedures, and various medical scenarios throughout the day.
Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department reminded residents that the upcoming fire season has arrived. The department encouraged the community to review the Ready, Set, Go program to learn more about wildfire preparedness.
