Relay visits Georgia Brown Elementary, teaches fire safety

    – Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services recently took part in the 32nd annual Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation Burn Relay, which stopped at Georgia Brown Elementary School, according to a Facebook post by the City of Paso Robles.

The event aims to raise awareness about fire safety among Central Coast schoolchildren and collects funds for the foundation, which supports young burn survivors.

Students in kindergarten through third grade participated in the fire safety presentation and interacted with Sparky the Fire Dog, giving him high fives. The Paso Robles Professional Firefighters Association donated $1,250 to sponsor a child to attend the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s Champ Camp this year.
