Paso Robles girls water polo beats the Santa Maria Saints 


–School hasn’t started yet, but the Paso Robles High School girls’ water polo team had their first game of the season against the Santa Maria Saints yesterday. In the winning effort ,10 different Bearcats scored for a final score of 17-2. Five ladies had multiple goals. Morgan Harrington, Tatiana Smeltzer, Mairin McNerney, and Aubrey Pasky all had two goals apiece.

Halle Nash was the leading scorer with four goals. The Lady Bearcats travel next Tuesday to open league play with a game against rival school Atascadero. Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. at Atascadero High School. JV won their game 20-1.
