Paso Robles Half Marathon running through town this Sunday

–Whether you are running in a race, supporting one of the runners, or are looking for something to do with your family, the Paso Robles Half Marathon is the place to be this Sunday, November 12, in Downtown City Park. Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this family-friendly event. All proceeds benefit the students of Paso Robles.
The race day festival opens at 8:00 a.m. in the park and includes live music, free kids’ activities, and famous Paso wine and craft beer. The half marathon race starts at 7:00 a.m. with a new course that makes its way east through the city of Paso Robles and utilizes many existing running paths. The Pacific Premier Cycling Team will be leading the runners.
In addition to the half marathon, there will be a 5K, one mile, kids’ dash, and diaper dash. The one-mile event is also the official San Luis Obispo County Elementary Cross Country Championships for kids age six to eleven.
All kids participating in the one mile, kids’ dash, and diaper dash are entered into a drawing to win a brand new washer and dryer courtesy of Idler’s Home. The drawing will take place during the awards ceremony at the park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Online registration for all races ends on Thursday, November 9, at midnight. Registration is available by visiting the website www.pasohalf.com. On-site registration will be available on Saturday during packet pick-up in the park from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or on Sunday beginning at 6:00 a.m. There are a limited number of entries available so it is recommended to register before Sunday.
The Paso Robles Half Marathon is being organized by the 4A Foundation for Paso Robles Schools in conjunction with Race SLO. Pacific Premier Bank is the title sponsor. One hundred percent of race proceeds benefit the 4A Foundation for Paso Robles Schools, a non-profit supporting academics, arts, athletics, and agriculture programs in Paso Robles Joint Unified School District.
