Comment: This week, we spotlight sophomore defensive back Matthew Ammann, who delivered an outstanding performance in our recent shutout victory against Garces Memorial High School. Matthew’s relentless energy and tenacity on the field proved pivotal in securing the win for our team. In the game against Garces, Matthew recorded an impressive four solo tackles and two assisted tackles, showcasing his ability to read plays and react swiftly. His defensive skills helped keep our opponents at bay, contributing to the team’s dominant performance and their first shutout of the season.
Prior to this standout game, Matthew had also made waves with a stellar performance against Kingsburg, where he tallied over eight solo tackles. His consistent play and determination have made him a key asset to our defensive lineup. As a sophomore, Matthew is already displaying the kind of talent and work ethic that promises a bright future ahead. We are excited to see how he continues to develop as the season progresses.
