Paso Robles High School hosts climate solutions symposium

The student symposium included opening ceremonies with keynote address, conference-style break-out sessions, and a climate solutions expo.
The Spring Science Symposium concluded with a climate solutions expo on Friday, May 22, 2015, in the quad at Paso Robles High School. Interactive booths by students and exhibitors provided experiences for Bearcats to learn to become part of the environmental solution. A variety of vendors participated, including Solar City, Solarponics, Paso Robles Ford, SLO County Air Pollution Control District, and Pacific, Gas, & Electric.
PRHS engineering made a special lunchtime presentation showcasing a solar cart made possible by the PG&E Bright Ideas Grant. In addition, PRHS hosted John Lindsey, PG&E Chief Meteorologist for a Friday afternoon seminar.
I think it's preposterous and ignorant to believe we can do anything to change the weather. Whether the climate is getting warmer or colder – which is actually what we should be concerned with – nothing humans can do will make an iota of difference. This absurd theory is a waste of time and feeding into the Chicken Little line of thinking.
